Situated in the heart of the historic village of Neumarkt stands an elegant hotel offering thirteen tastefully appointed rooms – surrounded by antique arcades and charming shopping opportunities. And the idea behind it all? To revitalize an historic building and breathe new life into it! The town council house used to dominate the village center. But till 2014, only the abandoned Valgoi House (in which a butcher shop and a couple of offices were located) could be found here.
But that’s when the transformation began: A great deal of love and care went into redesigning the building and converting it into a chic hotel. In doing so, the building’s original features – including the stone stairs, balcony, and doorposts – were retained and preserved.
The result? A perfect combination of old and new stylistic components… a modern design with a classic flair. The hotel is appropriately named the “Altes Rathaus” in honor of its illustrious past.
Since its grand opening in the spring of 2016, this inviting oasis – including the Restaurant Piazzetta and a comfortable lounge – has embodied the concepts of elegant living and gourmet pleasures in the South of South Tyrol. Natural colors, warm wood paneling, and large window fronts all contribute to the overall friendly atmosphere where guests feel right at home.
The Restaurant Piazzetta boasts a stylish atmosphere and a bill of fare with a dazzling range of culinary taste-treats – from Mediterranean specialties to alpine dishes, there’s something for everyone here. And to accompany your meal, you can choose from a variety of select wines from South Tyrol and other regions.
Our lounge is the ideal place to relax after a long day of holiday fun and excitement. In this cozy atmosphere, you can sip a refreshing cocktail or enjoy a soft drink. And you’ll love the regular entertainment events that take place here, like Piazzetta’s Aperitivo with live music.
